Monitoring Systems
Monitoring systems use advanced technology to provide continuous information on important patient parameters during cardiac surgery and into the intensive care unit. Terumo manufactures the CDI™ 500 Blood Parameter Monitoring System which uses in-line optical fluorescence and reflectance technologies to provide clinicians with up to eleven critical blood gas parameters. Terumo distributes the EDAC™ Quantifier which uses advanced ultra-sound technology to non-invasively count and measure gaseous micro emboli in the extracorporeal circuit. Terumo distributes Nonin's EQUANOX™ Model 7600 Regional Oximetry System, which uses near-infrared spectroscopy to continuously monitor the oxygen saturation status in the brain and tissue beneath the sensor during surgical procedures and in intensive care environments.
